In this course you will learn how to taste coffee in a thoughtful and analytical way, taught by Alexa Lee – former UK Cup Tasters Champion, Q Arabica Grader and experienced SCA judge.
Course length: 2 hours
A beginner’s coffee tasting class. An immersive, hands-on experience designed to introduce you to the world of coffee flavours and aromas.
You'll get to understand the basic tastes: sweet, salty, umami, bitter and sour in coffee.
Flavour Notes and Mouthfeel - you’ll learn about acidity (bright or tangy?), body (light, creamy, full?), and aftertaste (how long do flavours linger?).
Learning to describe what you taste using the flavour wheel - a colourful chart that helps you identify notes like fruity, floral, nutty, chocolatey, or earthy.
